MULTIWAL OPERABLE WALL PROJECTS
Multiwal Operable Partition Systems
Multiwal operable partitions consist of individual panels suspended from a ceiling track, allowing for effortless movement into a dedicated parking zone. This enables variable interior layouts at any time, without the need for structural modifications. The system is engineered for intensive commercial use—the robust aluminium and steel panel frame, combined with high-quality roller technology, ensures long-term durability and smooth operation even for heavy acoustic or fully glazed walls.
-
Slim profiles and high-reaching panels allow for the efficient division of halls, conference rooms, meeting areas, or classrooms, while maintaining high acoustic standards and natural light flow throughout the interior.
-
When opened, the sliding panels retract into a selected "parking area," allowing the space to be used as a single, open unit. When closed, they create high-performance acoustic or visual barriers—transforming the area into private meeting rooms, offices, or training spaces.
MULTI ELECTRIC AUTOMATION – AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE SYSTEM
The key feature of every MULTIWAL operable partition is Multi Electric—a semi-automatic control system that electrically deploys the top and bottom pressure seals. This ensures consistent pressure against the floor and ceiling. Compared to purely manual systems, it speeds up operation, eliminates sealing errors, and guarantees stable acoustic performance even with frequent reconfiguration.
-
The seal pressure is managed by integrated electronics, ensuring precise adjustment for optimal sound insulation, safe operation ("dead-man" switch control), and fire resistance compliance.
-
Multi Electric comes as standard for both MULTIWAL SELECT and COMMANDOOR systems, providing investors with advanced technology without additional costs for specialized controls.
"The frequently searched term 'multiwall'—spelled with a double 'l'—is, in a way, more intuitive for many of our clients," explains Jan Lucký. "Customers truly seek a functional 'wall' to create 'multi-purpose' spaces in a short timeframe. Depending on the event size or number of participants, they need to 'reconfigure the walls' effortlessly and instantly, ensuring their communication intent is met without disturbance. Whether they ask for 'relocatable partitions' or a 'sliding wall with superior soundproofing,' they are looking for the same modular solution."
MULTIWAL SELECT: SOLID OPERABLE PARTITIONS
The MULTIWAL SELECT system represents solid operable partitions with high acoustic insulation, specifically designed for dividing conference halls, training rooms, and corporate open-plan offices. The self-supporting steel-and-aluminium frame is clad with high-quality panels (MFC, MDF, or specialized fire-rated boards), available in a wide range of finishes, including laminate, natural veneer, or HPL in numerous decors.
-
Panel thickness typically ranges from 100 to 120 mm, with a maximum height of up to approximately 12 m, depending on the specific configuration of the interior mobile wall.
-
The MULTIWAL SELECT range offers various types of vertical joints: either with visible tube profiles (Type U) or with concealed profiles and narrow shadow gaps between panels (Type K/K-A). This allows architects to maintain precise control over the wall's final aesthetic line.

ACOUSTICS AND FIRE RESISTANCE
MULTIWAL operable partitions achieve sound insulation of up to Rw=59 dB, performance comparable to high-quality fixed acoustic walls and soundproof partitions. This level of insulation allows for the simultaneous use of adjacent rooms—a presentation in one hall can take place without disturbing a meeting in the next.
-
Selected models offer fire resistance of up to EI 60 (including glazed configurations), enabling the use of these partitions even within designated fire compartments of a building.
-
These superior acoustic parameters are achieved through a combination of high-density boards, internal mineral wool insulation, multi-layered construction, and the precise control of the pressure in the top and bottom seals.
MULTIWAL COMMANDOOR: GLAZED OPERABLE PARTITIONS
The MULTIWAL COMMANDOOR is a glazed operable partition system consisting of folding or sliding glass panels. It allows for seamless visual connectivity while maintaining full acoustic and safety functions. The system utilizes ESG (Toughened) or VSG (Laminated) safety glass held in subtle aluminium profiles, where the visible width can be minimized depending on the selected configuration (e.g., the U-profile for a sleek, minimalist look).
-
The COMMANDOOR glazed partition is ideal for prestigious environments, meeting rooms, lobbies, and showrooms, where lightweight sliding walls with maximum transparency are required.
-
The system can be fully integrated with Multi Electric automation, ensuring that the glass panels are closed quickly and sealed reliably. This includes the possibility of incorporating integrated pass doors within the glazed panels for seamless access.
SPATIAL FLEXIBILITY AND PANEL STACKING OPTIONS
The system's flexibility lies in its wide range of "tracking and stacking" options. Panels can be guided along a simple straight track or diverted into multiple tracks with various parking configurations. This allows architects to design diverse spatial scenarios—ranging from a fully open-plan layout to two or three separate sections, or an unlimited number of smaller seminar rooms.
-
The tracks are typically recessed into the ceiling, ensuring that the operable partitions do not disrupt the interior aesthetic and maintain a clean, seamless ceiling line.
-
When designing a layout, MULTIWAL SELECT solid walls can be combined with COMMANDOOR glazed partitions. Tato hybridní konfigurace umožňuje vytvářet zóny, které jsou opticky propojené, ale akusticky dokonale izolované.
DESIGN, MATERIALS, AND CUSTOMIZATION
MULTIWAL offers an extensive selection of finishes—including laminate (MFC), natural veneer, lacquered surfaces, and specialized finishes such as magnetic whiteboards, custom graphics, or acoustic textiles. This allows the sliding panels to blend seamlessly with other interior elements. Aluminium profiles (including frame and vertical profiles for SELECT or the COMMANDOOR system) are supplied in RAL 9010 Pure White as standard; however, they can be powder-coated in any RAL colour or anodised upon request.
-
Glazed modules can feature clear, frosted (satin), or graphically treated safety glass, or even a combination of multiple types within a single project.
-
The system is designed for the seamless integration of pass doors, corner panels, glazed inserts, and other bespoke elements, enabling the creation of complex spatial and communication schemes.
